When I prepare for holidays and gift giving, I always appreciate holiday helpers. That is exactly what My Paper Pumpkin is. Sometimes they are cards, other times they are project ideas. Either way, to have something come to your door once a month and be your salvation is always a good thing. Because the holidays are so close, Stampin’ Up! is offereing a great deal on two great MPP kits, 15% off while supplies last. The Frights and Delights from last month and 2017’s November Back in Plaid are available for purchase at the discounted price, if you are a Paper Pumpkin subscriber.
I know Halloween is next week, but it’s a great sale to pick them up for next year or a last minute option. Here is the Frights and Delights subscription kit, and refill option.
Here is the Back in Plaid kit from November, 2017. I really think the little stockings are so adorable and you can decorate them any way you like. Here is the kit and refill option.

First of all, it’s all about presents in this weeks CASE the catalog. The project features the Bring on the Presents stamp set and All the Presents Thinlits from page 16 of the Holiday Catalog. I’m very fond of these products and what cute projects you can create with them. All the projects on that page of the catalog are great. There was just something about this card that attracted me. Maybe it’s the non-traditional color, or probably the bows.
Either way, I’m all about presents and hope you are too!
I plan on creating another one and maybe even more to use right on my packages as a tag. The bows are also fun to color and when you raise them with the Dimensionals, they just sort of pop. This catalog is so wonderful and I enjoy all the projects. It’s been hard choosing one each week because I enjoy them so much.
The colors are: Mint Macaroon Cardstock, Whisper White Cardstock, Mint Macaroon, Shaded Spruce and Cherry Cobbler ink pads (the Cherry Cobbler is on the tag). The Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Blends are used to color the bows and the Gold Metallic Thread is used as well. Use Stampin Dimensionals and adhesive to adhere the bows. To ensure lines are straight, I recommend using the Stamparatus.
Finally, sometimes the non-traditional colors make cards that much more appealing. Taking a card up a notch and making it stand out can make people admire it that much more. Add some dazzle or some fancy accessories and give it character. Maybe even use another color. It’s all in your imagination.
I also hope you enjoyed this weeks CASE the Catalog.

First of all, this card I am sharing with you today is a beautiful frosted shimmer. The shimmer does not show through pictures. It features the Frosted Floral Designer Series Paper (DSP) which is part of the Frosted Floral Suite in the Holiday Catalog. The card is also one of the samples that attendees made at this month’s card class. Furthermore, the paper is “Shimmery” and while you really cannot appreciate it in the photograph, it’s amazing. Seriously, the photos really do not do it justice and all of the paper in the package is simply gorgeous.
So do you see the frosted shimmer? Because of the glare, It may be a bit difficult to see. Create the card using The First Frost Stamp set and Frosted Bouquet Framelits Dies. Both are offered in the First Frost Bundle while saving you 10%. Do you notice the Soft Suede frame is askew? Frame is cut using the Frosted Bouquet dies and attached to sentiment layer using dots of multipurpose liquid glue. It also adds an unexpected dimension to the card. Remember, all project materials can be found under Project Materials at the end of the post.
Also, you will have the opportunity to see so many more samples like this in my 12 Weeks of Christmas holiday promotion.
