Just popping in for a quick reminder that the Year-End Closeout is coming to an end soon!
Hope you had a wonderful Christmas! My Christmas Day was lots of fun and full of laughter. My two grandchildren provided hours of amusement. The fun of watching them open their gifts and seeing their reactions was priceless. Then in the evening, we were entertained with a musical concert. Granddaughter Brooklynn (2 1/2) was lead singer, grandson Alex (10) played cardboard drums and along with his mom, Karen, were backup singers. It was definitely a perfect way to end the day!
The Year-End Closeout from Stampin’ Up! deadline is approaching. The last day to order products from the 2019 Holiday Catalog is January 2, 2020.
Click here to check out the Year-End Closeout Products and the Discounted Product offerings. You’ll want to place your orders sooner rather than later as products are likely to sell-out closer to the ordering deadline. Plus if any of your favorite stamp sets is retiring, be sure grab it now.
Additionally: The Host Code for December is X9EWHRMR: please use Host Code only if your order is less than $150. If your order exceeds $150, you will receive the host rewards!
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the remainder of your holiday week!
Ready for another another embellished store bought item? While shopping recently, I spied a set of plaid Christmas tree dish towels. Immediately, I thought of the Wrapped in Plaid Designer Series Paper (DSP) and how easy it would be to create a coordinating gift tag for the dishtowels. Okay, I know you’re thinking that I must be crazy when shopping to think of things that coordinate with Stampin’ Up! products. Maybe I am just a bit but you have to admit, the dishtowels coordinate perfectly with the Wrapped in Plaid DSP. The Pine Tree Punch and the Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set were also used. Save 10% by purchasing the punch and stamp set as a bundle. By creating a Wrapped in Plaid 3-D Gift Tag, the dishtowel has become a simple, inexpensive gift to present during this season of giving.
Steps to make a Wrapped in Plaid 3-D Gift Tag:
Create a tag base using 2″ x 4-1/4″ piece of Real Red cardstock. Punch one end with the Delightful Tag Topper Punch. Round the corners on the bottom of the tag with the Detailed Trio Punch.
Cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock 3-1/4″ x 1-3/4″. Use the Detailed Trio Punch, to round the four corners. Stamp HO HO HO from the Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set onto the bottom section of the Whisper White cardstock panel using Real Red Classic Stampin’ Pad. Attach to the tag base using Snail Adhesive. If desired, cut another piece of the Whisper White cardstock to add to the back of the tag and stamp with a To/From stamp.
Use the Pine Tree Punch to cut 3 trees from the Wrapped in Plaid Designer Series Paper. TIP: punch two from the “front” side of the paper and one from the “back or reverse” side. By doing this, the trees will align properly. Score down the center of each of the punched pine trees and fold. Attach one side of each of the trees to one another using multipurpose liquid adhesive. Be sure to align the tree branches so they match. After creating the tree, attach to the tag above the HO HO HO. Embellish tree top with a Red Rhinestone. See photos below on how to punch and assemble.
If you are using the tag to embellish a dish towel, tie around towel using the Real Red 1″ Ruched Ribbon. Tie three Jingle Bells together with Whisper White Baker’s Twine and wrap around knot of the ribbon bow.
When shopping, look for some dishtowels to embellish as a quick and easy gift. I found the towel for this project at TJ Maxx and the dishtowel came in a package of two towels.

Since Labor Day has come and gone, it signals the transition from summer into fall celebrations. So despite having temperatures near 100 this week, the monthly card class theme was projects focusing on Fall and Halloween. One such project is a Halloween card. It features products from the Monster Bash product bundle. The Monster Bash Suite is full of coordinating products that will help you prepare for fun Halloween festivities. Today’s card features the Spooktacular Bash Stamp Set, the Ornate Frames Dies, the Stylish Scroll Embossing Folder and the Monster Bash Designer Series Paper. You can purchase the entire Monster Bash Suite (Item #153485). It includes all the materials on the featured card plus the Coffin Treat Boxes, Basic Black Scalloped Edge Ribbon and Monster Bash Enamel Shapes. Or if you prefer, the Spooktacular Bash Stamp Set and the coordinating Ornate Frames can be purchased in the Spooktacular Bash Bundle.
Card Details:
To form card base, cut Terracotta Tile cardstock (5-1/2″ x 11″, score and fold at 4-1/4″).
The next layer is Crushed Curry cardstock (5-1/4″x 4″). To texture emboss the panel, use the Stylish Scroll Embossing Folder. Attach to the Terracotta Tile card base using Snail Adhesive.
On Very Vanilla cardstock, stamp the sentiment and the vampire using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. TIP: Use the Stamparatus when stamping (especially for the vampire) so you can double stamp to get a complete stamped image. After stamping, cut the shapes using the Ornate Frames Dies. Also, cut a scroll frame from Terracotta Tile cardstock. Attach the vampire to the scroll using Snail Adhesive.
Cut a 2-7/8″x 2-7/8″ square of the Monster Bash Designer Series Paper. Attach it to a 3″ x 3″ square of Basic Black cardstock with Snail Adhesive. Wrap black ribbon around the square and tie into a knotted bow. Adhere to the card front using adhesive.
Finish card front by adding the vampire scroll and sentiment using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
To complete the look, stamp the envelope and the card interior with some of the fun stamps from the Spooktacular Bash Stamp Set!
You’ll have lots of fun creating Halloween projects with the Monster Bash Suite of products!

One of the projects from the recent card classes is a fun fold card featuring the Nature’s Beauty Stamp Set. If you’ve not seen the Nature’s Beauty Stamp Set, you must check it out on page 63 in the Holiday Catalog. It was one of the first products on my order list. Though the stamp set contains no sentiments, it’s a set perfect for creating a variety of nature inspired card and project designs. The wildlife animals are good to use for creating masculine theme cards too. It gets even better. For every set that is sold, Stampin’ Up! will donate $3 to Mental Health Organizations.
Here’s a peek at all the stamps included in the Nature’s Beauty Stamp Set…
Card Details:
Cajun Craze cardstock is cut 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″ for base.
Cut a piece of Pear Pizzazz 5-1/4″ x 6-3/4″ and score at 4″. Fold on score line to create the card. Attach to the Cajun Craze card base with Snail Adhesive.
The plaid piece is from the Come to Gather Designer Series Paper and is cut 2-1/2″ x 5″. To adhere to the front card flap, use Snail Adhesive.
The Whisper White card interior is 5″ x 3-3/4″. The sentiment on the card is from the Free As A Bird stamp set. Stamp the sentiment on the lower right corner of the exposed Whisper White using Cajun Craze Classic Stamp Pad. Then, attach to the interior of the Pear Pizzazz.
On a 2-1/2″ scrap of Whisper White cardstock, stamp the Bunny using Soft Suede. To the side of the bunny, stamp the reeds using So Saffron. Cut with the next to smallest circle in the Stitched Shapes Dies. Use the Layering Circles Dies to cut a scallop from Cajun Craze cardstock. Attach the bunny piece to the scallop circle with Snail Adhesive. Then attach the entire circle to the card front using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. Refer to photo for placement. TIP: Be sure to add the Stampin’ Dimensionals to the top half of the circle only.
Complete the card by adding a bow made using the Cajun Craze Linen Thread from the Come to Gather Ribbon Combo Pack.
Also, a big shout out and thank you to Cindee Wilkinson at Just Sponge It! The fun fold was shown on one of her projects. So, I used her dimensions for my nature inspired card.
