Easy Treat Holder

One of the make ‘n takes from the Open House is this easy treat holder.   A 3″ x 6″ Gusseted Cellophane Bag holds the treat.  However, a plain bag is no fun to receive!  In the new Annual Stampin’ Up! catalog, the Time for Tags host stamp set is perfect for creating quick and easy tags.  The stamp set includes a variety of tags and sentiments to use.  Thus, you can create tags for a variety of projects.   The set is on page 206 in the catalog.  To easily cut the tags, use the coordinating Timeless Label Punch.  With this set, you can create multiple tags quickly.  Just stamp, color and punch!

Project Details:

For the tag on this project, stamp the tag using Jet Black Stazon Ink onto a  2-3/4″ x 1-1/2″ piece of Whisper White cardstock.  Since Stampin’ Write Markers are used, it’s important to use Stazon so that the ink doesn’t smear. (Remember, if using Stampin’ Blends to color, use Memento Tuxedo Black.)  Color using the following Stampin’ Write Markers:  Balmy Blue for the bird, Daffodil Delight for beak, Real Red for heart, Granny Apple Green for leaves, Soft Suede for branch.  After coloring, punch the tag shape using the Timeless Label Punch.  Creating tags couldn’t be easier.

To finish the project, insert treat into the cellophane bag.  To create closure, fold over bag top and using a handheld punch, create two holes approximately 1-1/4″ apart.  Thread 1/8″ Grapefruit Grove ribbon through all layers and tie.  For attaching the tag to the bag,  use Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Since the Gusseted Cellophane Bags come in a quantity of 25, the bags are great for creating treats for school classes!
