Today’s product features Happy Easter Gift Tags that came about by sorting through products on the shelves in my stamp room. Have you ever wanted to make a project only to realize you did not have a stamp set with the sentiment or images for the theme? That’s exactly what happened to me when deciding to create an Easter project – no bunnies, no chicks, no Happy Easter sentiment stamps. So, it was time to get inventive and creative with products that I had available! After some searching, I was able to create a sentiment using word dies and found stamp sets that could fit the theme. Plus, scraps of cardstock were used for most of the project which is always a win-win. What do you think of the “outside the box” ideas for Easter themed gift tags?
Using the largest of the Tailor Made Tags Dies, cut the tag base from Basic White Cardstock.
Die cut the words, Happy & Easter (using the Word Wishes Dies), from Flirty Flamingo cardstock. Optional: prior to cutting the cardstock, add a piece of Adhesive Sheet to the cardstock. This makes it easy to attach to the tag.
Next, stamp one hen and two chick images onto scraps of Basic White cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad.
Color the hen using the following Stampin’ Blends: body – Daffodil Delight Light & Dark, beak – Pumpkin Pie Dark, Comb & Wattle – Poppy Parade Light.
Color the chick using the following Stampin’ Blends: Body – Daffodil Delight Light, beak & legs/feet – Pumpkin Pie Light, hat – Bermuda Bay Light
Using the nest stamp from the Birds & Branches Stamp Set, stamp the nest onto a scrap of Granny Apple Green cardstock using Granny Apple Green Classic Stampin’ Pad – stamp off once before stamping onto the cardstock.
Use coordinating dies from the Birthday Chick Dies to die cut the stamped hen/chick images and the fence from a scrap of Crumb Cake cardstock.
With the Birds & More Dies, cut the stamped birds nest and and 3 eggs from a scrap of Very Vanilla Cardstock.
Use a sponge dauber to lightly apply Sahara Sand to the edges of each of the die cut eggs.
OPTIONAL: using Blending Brushes, color a sky using Coastal Cabana Classic Stampin’ Pad and color grass using Granny Apple Green Classic Stampin’ Pad.
Assembly of tags:
For the Hen/Chick tag: Add the Happy Easter to the top section of the tag leaving room for the hen. Next, attach the fence to the lower portion of the tag. Finish by adding the Hen and Chick with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
For the Chick/eggs in nest tag: Add the Happy Easter to the top section of the tag. Adhere the nest to the bottom of the tag leaving a gap at the top to insert the eggs. Then, trim the overhanging section of the nest so that sides and bottom are even with the tag. Insert the eggs into the next using Mini Glue Dots to hold in place. Complete by adding the chick with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Keeping with this week’s gift tag theme for Christmas in July, I am featuring Snowman Gift Tags. A recent purchase of snowman notepads became the inspiration for the snowman gift tags. Since I’ll be “giving a little something” to folks throughout the holiday season, it’s only appropriate to make the presentation special. Right?! Even better, the notepads fit perfectly into the Ombre Gift Bags. And with coordinating snowman gift tags, the “little something” is ready to present later this year. The Snowman Season Stamp Set and the Tailor Made Tags Dies in the 2021-2022 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog are perfect for making the gift tags. Best of all, the tags are quick and easy to make!

Are you looking for some quick to make gift tags? I have you covered with these last minute gift tags. I don’t know about you but it seems that at Christmas, I am rushing to finish wrapping presents. Since a gift needs a tag, it needs to be quick to make. The three gift tags that I’m sharing today are quick and easy making them perfect to create last minute. For the three tags, I decided to use different themes for each – a snowman, a pine tree and a penguin.
Penguin Gift Tag:
Create a tag base by cutting a piece of Whisper White cardstock 2″ x 4-1/2″ and punch one end using the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch. If desired, round the corners on the opposite end of the tag using the Detailed Trio Punch. Stamp the penguin from the Playful Penguin stamp set onto the tag using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. On a scrap of Whisper White cardstock, stamp the scarf using Real Red Classic Stampin’ Pad. Fussy cut the scarf and add to the stamped penguin using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. Next, stamp Merriest Wishes on the front and To/From on the back of the tag using the Real Red ink. If desired, complete by adding a ribbon or twine to the tag.
Pine Tree Gift Tag:
Use the Pine Tree Punch to cut a tree from the Wrapped in Plaid Specialty Designer Series Paper. With the 2″ circle punch, cut two pieces of Whisper White cardstock (one for the front of the tag and one for the back). Use a scalloped circle from the Layering Circles Dies to cut a piece of Shaded Spruce cardstock. Add the Whisper White circles to scalloped circle using Snail Adhesive. One one side, attach the Pine Tree to the tag using Stampin’ Dimensionals and on the reverse stamp To/From. Stamp the “No Peeking Til Christmas” from the Itty Bitty Christmas Stamp Set using Real Red Classic Stampin’ Pad onto a scrap of Whisper White cardstock. Then, fussy cut around the sentiment and attach to the Pine Tree. Tie a small ribbon to add to the top of the tree. With a handheld punch, punch a small hole into the top of the tag. Thread a thin ribbon or Baker’s Twine through the hole and tie. NOTE: the gold twine on my sample is a discontinued product but you can color Whisper White Baker’s Twine with the Dark Real Red Stampin’ Blend to use in place of the gold twine.
Snowman Gift Tag:
Create the tag base by using the Delightful Tag Topper on one end of a 2″ x 4-1/4″ strip of Whisper White cardstock. Cut a 1-3/4″ x 3-1/4″ background piece from the Let It Snow Specialty Designer Series Paper. Attach to the Whisper White tag base. Using the Layering Ovals Dies, cut a snowman from the Let It Snow Specialty Designer Series Paper. Attach to the background layer using Snail adhesive. Stamp sentiment onto a scrap of Whisper White cardstock using Real Red Classic Stampin’ Pad. Cut using the Classic Label Punch. NOTE: the sentiment is from the Most Wonderful Product Medley. Or, select your favorite holiday sentiment to use.
Though I have chosen to use three different designs, you may decide to create one style to use on your gift packages. Whichever you prefer, the gift tags will be quick and easy to create last minute!
Time is running out for Holiday shipping so place your orders soon. Note – many of the products used will not be available after January 2, 2020. Therefore, be sure to order your favorites so you’ll have them for future use.

For today, I’m taking a break from Christmas theme projects and sharing a Harvest Hellos Gift Tag. For recent team gifts, members received a Bath & Body Works hand soap. The apple in the Harvest Hellos Stamp Set along with the Apple Builder Punch coordinate perfectly with the Afternoon Apple Picking label. Don’t you just love it when store bought items coordinate with your stamps and dies? Both of the items can be purchased in the Harvest Hellos Bundle for a 10% savings. For the colorful background leaves, the See A Silhouette Designer Series Paper is cut with the Gathered Leaves Dies provides perfect Fall leaves.
Here’s a close-up of the gift tag:
Steps to create the Harvest Hellos Gift Tag:
First, create a tag base using a 3-1/2″ x 2″ piece of Crushed Curry Cardstock and the Delightful Tag Topper Punch or the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch.
From the See A Silhouette Designer Series Paper. select the desired colors. Then, cut one large leaf, two medium leaves and one small leaf from the designer series paper using the Gathered Leaves Dies. Also, use the dies to cut a medium size, solid leaf from a scrap of Mossy Meadow cardstock.
From the Harvest Hellos Stamp Set, stamp the apple using Early Espresso Classic Stampin’ Pad onto a piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock. Punch the apple shape using the Apple Builder Punch and punch a stem from a scrap of Early Espresso cardstock. Attach the stem to the apple using a mini glue dot.
Notice the small leaves around the apple stem? One small leaf was cut from an Old Olive Foil Sheet found in the Noble Peacock Foil Sheets. After cutting the leaf with the Gathered Leaves Dies, 2 portions were cut to use around the apple stem. Attach to the apple using mini glue dots.
To stamp the sentiment, use the Itty Bitty Greetings Stamp set and Mossy Meadow Classic Stampin’ Pad to stamp onto a 1/2″ x 2″ piece of Whisper White cardstock. After stamping, cut an inverse “v” to create the flag end.
Next, layer the leaf elements onto the Crushed Curry Tag base. When you are satisfied with the placement, attach to the tag base using Snail adhesive. Add sentiment to apple. Then, add the apple atop the leaves using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
To complete the tag, attach a Linen Thread bow. For attaching to the gift, use Braided Linen Trim.
Hope you enjoyed this gift tag project. Tip: When making tags, it’s the perfect time to use your scrap papers.
Thanks for stopping by and check back soon for more inspiration. Happy crafting…
