Final Goodbye

I never thought I would see the day that our Lovely as a Tree stamp set would retire from the Stampin’ Up! catalogs.  However, the day has come so it’s time to bid a final goodbye.  Yes, the Lovely as A Tree stamp set is retiring.  In honor of saying a final goodbye, the following card has been created.  You can always use it for any season.  Since trees are blooming, I highlighted the trees to look like leaves are budding. That’s what makes it such an awesome stamp set, you can create a variety of looks.

Here are the details for the card:  First, sponge the sky in Balmy Blue onto a 3-3/4″ x 5″ piece of Whisper White cardstock.  Stamp thee trees were stamp using Early Espresso (as well as sentiment from Wonderful Romance which is also retiring).  Allow the Early Espresso to dry.  Then sponge the grass using Granny Apple Green Classic Stampin’ Pad.  The birds are from High Tide stamp set and are stamped using the Early Espresso  The Gingham Gala Daffodil Delight is the Designer Series Paper layer (retiring) and the card base is Granny Apple Green.  Use the following Stampin’ Blends colors to create the tree buds: Granny Apple Green, Mossy Meadow and Old Olive.

This is one of the most beloved sets in the history of Stampin’ Up!.  It’s going to be hard to let it go. The stamp set is guaranteed to be available until May 24 so I encourage you to consider ordering this classic stamp set soon.

Thanks for stopping by and happy crafting!

Lucky to Have a Friend

If you are lucky to have a friend that means the world to you, then you will definitely enjoy this card.  While it was created using the “Share What You Love” Designer Series Paper, I also used the Layered Leaves Texture Impressions Embossing Folder (TIEF)  and Petal Pink card stock.  Changing up the TIEF is always an option.

We’re All Lucky to Have a Friend

It’s such a great card that is quick & easy, hence, you can create a number of them to have on hand for friends and family for when the situation presents itself.  There are a number of other colors you could use for the card stock on the top of the card.  That is just one way you can change up the card.  Other sentiments would probably work as well too.  Another great idea is to keep the template or parts of the card cut in different colors.  Therefore, just grab and go when you are in need of a card with any of the sentiments you pre-designed.  You’ll find instructions for this card in the Tutorial page.

Friend Like You Card

The paper is one of my favorites with it’s soft colors.  Remember, while this is a beautiful choice, there are also even more designs to choose from in the Designer Series Paper pack.  Not all of the choices in the pack are floral so it gives you some other color options.  Seems like everyone should be lucky to have a friend in their life and so it should be celebrated.  Above all, cherish the ones we love.  It fills me with joy to create cards for my friends and family to spread joy with what I love to do.  You can pick up the Share What You Love Designer Series Paper from my online store.
