Take a look below to see how some of the Sale-a-Bration products tie into to the Occasions catalog. The coordination is wonderful when you are creating projects. It’s even better with butterflies all around the Occasions Catalog. One particular area is the Gingham Gala Suite that consists of the Butterfly Gala bundle. Let’s take a look at these products and see how they all coordinate.
Butterflies are so beautiful so I am very excited about all these products that coordinate together. Sale-a-Bration is all about earning those free products and expanding your craft supplies. Butterflies are all around this year in the form of the Butterfly Gala bundle. Enjoy all it has to offer and earn some of it for free.
Happy Friday! This week I am sharing another of the recent class projects, a First Frost Baker’s Box. The Baker’s Boxes are a great size for adding a treats or other small gifts. One of my favorite embellishments for boxes is to make a belly band and add embellishments so naturally, I decided to use one for this project. For embellishment, the First Frost Bundle coordinates beautifully with the Frosted Floral Designer Series Paper (DSP).
To decorate the Baker’s Box, cut a 1-3/4″ wide strip of Frosted Floral Designer Series Paper (DSP) to create the belly band. Since the DSP will not fit completely around the box, cut a piece of Blackberry Bliss card stock using the large Layering Ovals Framelit to connect the DSP and to act as a base for the embellishments.
The stamped floral uses the Blackberry Bliss and Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Markers to color the stamp, then “huff” by blowing your breath over the inked stamp to keep the ink moist and stamp onto a scrap of Whisper White card stock. Cut using the Floral Bouquet Framelits. Also use the Framelits to cut Blackberry Bliss, Mossy Meadow and Vellum images. Cut a piece of Whisper White card stock using the large oval from the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies. Stamp “enjoy” (from the Takeout Treats Stamp Set) using Blackberry Bliss Classic Stampin’ Pad on the right side of the oval. Attach to the Blackberry Bliss oval on the baker’s box belly band. Layer the cut embellishments onto the left side of the oval. Finish by adding a doubled Linen Thread bow and scattering Basic Rhinestone Jewels around the paper.
It’s time for nature this week with the CASE the Catalog featuring the Nature’s Poem Suite, so let’s get started. First of all, this suite of products includes the Rooted in Nature Stamp Set Bundle, Nature’s Poem Designer Series Paper, Nature’s Twine and the Leaves Trinkets embellishments. Though the calendar indicates it is officially Fall, here in Georgia we are still experiencing summer. Therefore, while waiting for nature to change it’s weather pattern, I thought a nature themed card might help! It’s certainly worth a try. Hey, whatever it takes! The card I cased is on page 144 in the Stampin’ Up! 2018-2019 Annual Catalog. I also like the other three cards on that page but those are for another day.
Another thing about the nature this week card is that it also features a textured embossed layer using the Pinewood Planks Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. That’s probably why I like it so much.
Start with Petal Pink cardstock cut to 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Score at 4-1/4″ to create the card base (5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″). Use Pinewood Planks Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder to texture emboss a 5-1/4″ x 4″ Petal Pink cardstock. Drag a White Craft Ink pad across the embossed layer to add extra dimension. Allow ink to dry before attaching to the Petal Pink card base.
The brown leaf DSP is 5″ x 2-3/4″ and the falling leaf DSP is 4-3/4″ x 2-3/4″. Cut a notch in the leaf DSP to create a banner. Layer the two pieces of DSP (refer to photo for placement). Wrap Nature’s Twine around top of the DSP layers before attaching to prepared Petal Pink card base.
Finally, use Soft Suede Classic ink to stamp the tree stump into a 3″ square of Crumb Cake cardstock. Stamp the sentiment using Versamark ink with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. Use heat tool to set embossing powder. Stamp five sets of leaves onto a scrap of Whisper White cardstock using Tanquil Tide Classic Stampin’ Pad and cut using coordinating Nature’s Root Thinlit Die. Layer the leaves, the Leaves Trinkets and the Sentiment to complete the card.
Maybe it’s me, but I think it’s really even more impressive in person. I so enjoy nature cards because it’s just another part of beautify and as a result, my creativity also flows. Likewise for beach scenes cards. I know everyone has their personal serenity. I also hope you enjoyed this weeks CASE the Catalog.
