Are you looking for a simple Halloween Card to make? This card has you covered! The beauty of the Monster Bash Designer Series Paper are the wonderful designs to use on craft creations. Notice the Designer Series Paper panel on the card below? It’s a bookshelf with interesting book titles and is one of my favorite papers from the package. With the Stylish Scroll Embossing Folder, you can easily take your card “up a notch” by adding texture to one of the card layers.
Card Details:
Card Base is Terracotta Tile cardstock (5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″) score and fold at 4-1/4″.
Cut a Basic Black layer 4″ x 5-1/4″. Attach to the Terracotta Tile card base with Snail Adhesive.
Using a 3-3/4″ x 5″ piece of Crushed Curry cardstock, texture embellish using the Stylish Scroll Embossing Folder. Attach a 5″ x 2″ piece of Monster Mash Designer Series Paper to the lower half of the texture embossed Crushed Curry cardstock. Before adding to the Basic Black layer, wrap Basic Black Scalloped Edge Ribbon across the card front where the Designer Series Paper and Crushed Curry cardstock meet. (refer to photo)
Punch the girl ghoul image from the Monster Mash Designer Series Paper with the 2″ circle punch. Add to top of the card using Snail Adhesive.
Complete the card front by stamping the sentiment from the Spooktacular Bash Stamp Set with Memento black onto a scrap of Very Vanilla cardstock and cut with the coordinating Ornate Frames Dies. Attach to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Add a couple of the Monster Bash Enamel Shapes as an embellishment around the sentiment.
See how simple it is to make this card! The only stamping is for the sentiment.

Yes, it’s more Dino Days and today I’m featuring a card from this month’s class. The card features the Dino Days Bundle which includes the Dino Days stamp set and coordinating Dino Dies. In addition, the Dinoroar Designer Series Paper provides the perfect background. The Pteradyctal, with it’s wingspread, goes perfectly with the sentiment. I have had great fun creating projects with this bundle and can assure you, I will be posting more Dino projects in the future!
Card Details:
Create card base using Pretty Peacock cardstock (4-1/4″ x 11″, score at 5-1/2″). Card is an oblong, right side opening card.
Layer a 5-1/4″ x 4″ piece of Dinoroar Designer Series Paper onto the card base.
Cut Lovely Lipstick cardstock layer: 2-3/4″ x 4-1/4″.
Use the Stitched Rectangle Dies to cut Whisper White cardstock (select rectangle die to cut Whisper White so that piece will fit inside of the Lovely Lipstick layer).
Stamp the tree trunk with Pretty Peacock Classic Stampin’ Pad. Add the palm fronds, stamping with Old Olive Classic Stampin’ Pad. TIP: Stamp once, then stamp again before re-inking the stamp.
Stamp background circles onto the Whisper White using Pineapple Punch.
With Lovely Lipstick Classic Stampin’ Pad, stamp the sentiment onto the lower portion of the Whisper White cardstock piece. Add to the Lovely Lipstick cardstock layer using snail adhesive.
On a scrap of Whisper White cardstock, stamp the Pterodactyl using Mango Melody Classic Stampin’ Pad – first, stamp off onto another piece of paper, then stamp again. Stamp the wing design using the Mango Melody ink without stamping off. Cut using the coordinating Dino Die. Add to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Cut a 3′ piece of the Old Olive/Pretty Peacock Reversible Ribbon. Fold in half and attach to the lower left side of the Lovely Lipstick layer using adhesive.
Add completed sentiment layer to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Hope I have convinced you to use the Dino Days Bundle to create some fun cards for your dinosaur lover!

Looking for a quick card? Today’s card highlights the Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper and is a card that can be made quickly. Earlier in the month, I needed cards to send to the Playtime with Paper team members in recognition of their July achievements. This Bird Ballad Congratulations card was the result. You’ll notice the card is not the standard rectangular shape. Instead, the card features a square base which works perfectly with the design. Notice too there’s very little stamping. It’s only on the sentiment. The beautiful prints of the Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper help create the card. What’s wonderful with Stampin’ Up! designer series paper are the coordinating prints on the reversible papers. Read on for details on recreating this beautiful card.
Bird Ballad Congratulations card details:
Card Base: cut a 8″ x 4″ Thick Whisper White cardstock, score and fold at 4″ to create a 4″ x 4″ base.
Cut a 4″ x 4″ piece of Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper.
Using the Layering Squares Dies, position the square on the center of the designer series paper to cut the frame. The middle of the paper cut from the frame is used for the card front.
Lay the frame atop the card base – TIP: DO NOT ADHERE YET.
For the card center, carefully adhere center piece of the designer series paper so that it’s inside the frame.
Lift frame piece and use stampin’ dimensionals to add it to the card front.
Stamp the Congratulations from the Here’s A Card stamp set onto a scrap of Whisper White cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. Cut using the Classic Label Punch.
Fussy cut flower pieces from the Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper. Attach the sentiment piece and the floral pieces to the frame using mini glue dots.
Finish by embellishing the flower centers with Basic Rhinestone Jewels.
NOTE: If you have the retired Envelope Punch Board, you can make an envelope. Or just pop the card in a Stampin’ Up! Medium envelope, it works great too!

Have you seen the Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Series Paper on pages 74 & 167 in the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog? It is absolutely gorgeous! The lightweight paper features photographic images of real pressed flowers on one side of the paper. So when designing this card, I decided to use the photo of the Pressed Petals Bouquet on one of the papers. By using the Heirloom Frames Dies, a large oval helps to highlight the bouquet. As an extra touch, the coordinating Pressed Petals Specialty Washi Tape creates a flower to embellish the card. Scroll below for more card details.
Card Base Details:
Create the card base using Crumb Cake cardstock (8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, score and fold at 4-1/4″), Use the Oval Heirloom Frames Die from the Heirloom Frames Dies and 3-D Embossing Folders to cut a large oval from a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Merry Merlot cardstock. Cut the Pressed Petals Bouquet image from the Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Paper. Attach the Merry Merlot frame to the photo of the Pressed Petals Bouquet using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. TIP: Before adhering, check DSP placement. If the DSP extends past frame, trim before adhering the frame. Once the liquid adhesive has dried, add the framed Pressed Petals Bouquet layer to the card front using adhesive.
Finishing Touches:
The “Hello There” greeting is from the Here’s A Card stamp set. Create a Crumb Cake cardstock tag using the Banner Triple Punch and stamp the sentiment using Merry Merlot Classic Stampin’ Pad. On the left side of the tag, use five of the Pressed Petals Specialty Washi Tape petals to create a flower. TIP: After placing the petals, use the Embossing Buddy to dust the back of the flower petals to prevent them from sticking to the card. Stamp two sets of leaves (from the Floral Essence Stamp Set) using Old Olive Classic Stampin’ Pad onto Vellum cardstock. Use the heat tool to dry the ink. Once the ink is completely dry, use the leaf punch to cut the leaves. Use mini glue dots to tuck the leaves behind the flower. Attach the tag to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Then, complete by adding a Perennial Essence Floral Center to the flower.
