In this month’s class, one of the projects created is a Tulip Gift Bag and coordinating tag. I love it when there is a designer series paper that coordinates with a stamp set and either dies or as with the Timeless Tulips Bundle, a punch. The bag uses the Pleased As Punch Designer Series Paper, which is from of the Coordination Product Release. The paper is wonderful as it coordinates with multiple stamp bundles. Naturally, the small gift bag needs a coordinating tag. The Timeless Tulips stamp set and the tag die from the Bonanza Dies combine to create a perfect gift tag. Details for creating both are below the project’s photo.
Creating the Tulip Gift Bag:
From the Pleased As Punch Designer Series Paper, cut the tulip paper 6″ x 8″. Be sure to pay attention to the direction of the tulips.
On the 8″ side score at 2-1/2″, 3-3/4″, 6-1/4″ and 7-1/2″. Rotate 90° (make sure that the tulips are facing toward the right) and score at 1-1/4″.
Fold along score lines and trim along score lines up to the 1-1/4″ score line. Cut and remove the 1/2″ tab. See the photo below – dotted lines are score lines:
Add Tear & Tape Adhesive to the 1/2″ tab, fold over to close the side creating the bag.
Fold in bottom flaps and seal. Be sure the small flaps are folded in first and then overlap with the larger flaps.
Pinch together and use a Mini Library Clip to seal.
For the coordinating tag:
With the tag die from the Bonanza Dies to cut a 2-1/2″ x 4″ piece of Whisper White cardstock.
Using the Timeless Tulips Stamp Set, stamp two small tulips with Calypso Coral Classic Stampin’ Pad at the top of the tag. (refer to project photo above for placement) Stamp the large tulip with the same color onto a scrap of Whisper White cardstock. Cut with the coordinating Tulip Builder Punch.
Stamp three stems using Granny Apple Green Classic Stampin’ Pad.
Add the large tulip onto the tag using Stampin’ Dimensionals, slightly overlap the smaller tulips.
Use the Tulip Builder Punch to cut a leaf from a scrap of the reverse side (green pattern) of the Pleased As Punch designer series paper. Adhere to tag under the large tulip with a mini glue dot.
Stamp the sentiment with the Calypso Coral onto a 3″ x 1-1/4″ piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock. Cut using the shape using the Ornate Frames Dies. Attach to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Tie a knot bow using 6″ of Granny Apple Green Textured Weave Ribbon. Complete the tag attaching the bow below the large tulip using a mini glue dot.
What did we put in the gift bag? A wrapped Rice Krispies Treat Bar! It fit perfectly. Be sure to comment below and let me know what you plan to place in your gift bag.

Have you seen the Coordination Product Release from Stampin’ Up? Today, I am sending flowers featuring the Sending Flowers Dies from the Coordination Product Release. In addition, you’ll also see use of the Special Day Dies from the product release. The Coordination Product Release features items which coordinate with products from Sale-A-Bration as well as the January-June 2020 Mini Catalog. I’ll add the link below so you can check out the products available but first onto the card.
The beauty of the Sending Flowers Dies is the main die featuring a field of flowers which creates the focal point for a card. You can cut your cardstock, add color on the flowers, attach to a card base, add a sentiment banner and you’re done! And if you want, add an extra touch or two. Look closely at the card below. Notice the mouse in the field of flowers. I couldn’t resist placing the mouse in the flowers…it’s so darn cute! The Special Days Dies coordinate with the Special Someone Stamp Set making it easy to stamp and cut the mouse. Just a note, the Coordination Product Release ends on March 31, 2020, so you’ll want to place your order soon!
Card Details:
Create a card base using Coastal Cabana cardstock (8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, score at 4-1/4″ and fold).
Next, add a layer of the gingham check (4″ x 5-1/2″) from the Pleased As Punch Designer Series Paper. (this is another Coordination Product Release!)
Use the large circle flowers die in the Sending Flowers Dies to cut a 4″ x 4″ piece of Whisper White cardstock. Color the stems of the flowers using the Old Olive Stampin’ Blends. TIP: Color up into the flower petal to ensure that each stem is completely colored when you add the flowers. Cut a variety of flowers from cardstock using the flower dies in the set. The cardstock colors on the card above are: Daffodil Delight, Highland Heather, Blushing Bride and Calypso Coral. Another tip: this is a great way to use your scraps of cardstock! After cutting the flowers, attach to the flowers on the stems using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Cut a 3-7/8″ x 3-7/8″ piece of the coastal cabana designer series paper from the Follow Your Art Designer Series Paper. Attach to the back of the flower square using adhesive.
Add the field of flowers to the card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals leaving room for the sentiment banner at the bottom of the card.
Stamp the sentiment, “glad we’re friends” from the Fable Friends Stamp Set, using Coastal Cabana Classic Stampin’ Pad onto a strip of Whisper White cardstock. Cut the banner shape using the die from the Sending Flowers Dies. Wrap linen thread around the side of the banner three times and tie into a small bow. Attach to the card using Dimensionals.
For the mouse, stamp using the Gray Granite Classic Stampin’ Pad onto a scrap of Whisper White cardstock. Cut with the coordinating die from the Special Days Die set. Add a mini glue dot to the back of the mouse and tuck into the field of flowers.
To complete the card front, add small Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the centers of the flowers.
Of course, you can’t forget the inside of the card or the envelope!
In addition to using cardstock on the flowers, you can color them using your Stampin’ Blends, Stampin’ Markers or sponge daubers with ink. It’ll be fun using different coloring methods.

Hooray! Today, the Coordination Products are now available for purchase. This is the perfect opportunity to purchase products that coordinate with some of your favorite products from the January–June 2020 Mini Catalog and Sale-A-Bration brochure. Don’t you love how Stampin’ Up! offers products that coordinate? It makes creating projects so much easier.
One of my favorite Sale-a-Bration Stamp Sets is the Little Ladybug Stamp Set. So, I was excited to learn that coordinating dies are available.
In the video below, Brian highlights each of the Coordination Products.
Even better, there is no limit to the quantity you can order. Plus, qualifying orders are eligible for Stampin’ Rewards. Coordination Product Release items can be added to a starter kit. Most importantly, Coordination Product Release items are available until March 31, 2020 or while supplies last.
To make ordering easy, you can order the products by clicking on the links under Project Materials. I have also added the links for the products that coordinate with each.
