Thank you for the recent inquiries – I’m well! The past month was busy with my son’s wedding plus other commitments and something had to give. So, I decided to take time away from blogging. But now I’m back and will be sharing more projects with you! Take note – I have a backlog of projects so will intertwine the postings with new projects from the recently released 2023-2024 Annual Catalog.
This week’s project features the Sweet Citrus Stamp Set and coordinating Sweet Citrus Hybrid Embossing Folder to create a cheerful card featuring lemons. If you’ve not purchased or used this set yet, you must! It’s a fun set that allows you to create a variety of citrus fruits. The Sweet Citrus Hybrid Embossing Folder (like all the hybrid embossing folders!) is a game changer. Not only does it emboss but it includes dies that will cut a portion of the cardstock while embossing. Of course, you can also just use the embossing folder alone to texture emboss. You’ll notice on the card below that the background piece is embossed. Be sure to check out the video below from the recent class to see tips for using this fun set. Note: the Stitched Rectangle Dies and embellishment dots have retired but can be easily substituted with another die set & embellishment.
Sweet Citrus Lemons Cut Dimensions:
-Daffodil Delight Cardstock (Base:4-1/4″ x 11″, score/fold at 5-1/2″; 4-1/4″ x 5″ for embossing)
-Basic White Cardstock (4 1/2″” x 3-1/2″ for stamping/die cutting fruit; 5-1/4″ x 4″ for interior, 3″ x 2-1/2″)

Have you taken note that I enjoy using the various products in the Flowers for Every Season Suite Collection? I just realized that my past few posts have incorporated items from the suite. So of course, today’s post is no different! I’m loving the versatility of the product suite. It provides the ability to combine the different elements to create a variety of cards. Today’s card uses the Flowers for Every Season Memories & More Card Pack, as well as, a piece of the Flowers for Every Season Designer Series Paper.
Here are some of the card details:
The front of the card base is texture embossed using the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder. The floral print layer is from the Flowers for Every Season Memories & More Card Pack. The 1-1/4″ strip is a piece of the Flowers for Every Season Designer Series Paper. After stamping and cutting the sentiment layer, add a few sprigs of leaves from the Forever Gold Laser-Cut Specialty Designer Series Paper to the label. Finally, complete by embellishing with a small bow.
The design is the from the weekly design challenge for the Playtime with Paper team. Each week, I select a design or color challenge for the team to use. Below is this week’s challenge from the Sunday Stamps Blog.
In addition to my take on the design, I am including a card created by Playtime with Paper team member, Linda Edwards of Crafty Heron Designs. Linda’s card features the Forever Greenery Suite Collection. Isn’t her card stunning?

First of all, it’s all about presents in this weeks CASE the catalog. The project features the Bring on the Presents stamp set and All the Presents Thinlits from page 16 of the Holiday Catalog. I’m very fond of these products and what cute projects you can create with them. All the projects on that page of the catalog are great. There was just something about this card that attracted me. Maybe it’s the non-traditional color, or probably the bows.
Either way, I’m all about presents and hope you are too!
I plan on creating another one and maybe even more to use right on my packages as a tag. The bows are also fun to color and when you raise them with the Dimensionals, they just sort of pop. This catalog is so wonderful and I enjoy all the projects. It’s been hard choosing one each week because I enjoy them so much.
The colors are: Mint Macaroon Cardstock, Whisper White Cardstock, Mint Macaroon, Shaded Spruce and Cherry Cobbler ink pads (the Cherry Cobbler is on the tag). The Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Blends are used to color the bows and the Gold Metallic Thread is used as well. Use Stampin Dimensionals and adhesive to adhere the bows. To ensure lines are straight, I recommend using the Stamparatus.
Finally, sometimes the non-traditional colors make cards that much more appealing. Taking a card up a notch and making it stand out can make people admire it that much more. Add some dazzle or some fancy accessories and give it character. Maybe even use another color. It’s all in your imagination.
I also hope you enjoyed this weeks CASE the Catalog.
