Craft Fair Project

Hi All!  the countdown continues until Christmas.  This past weekend, I participated in a Christmas Bazaar and on Instagram posted the following photo:

What will this become?

As promised in the post, here’s the outcome – Santa Kisses!

Santa Kisses using Stampin’ Up! Cookie Cutter Christmas Stamp Set & Punch
The Santa Kisses were a popular item and so easy to prepare the packaging.  The Santa from the Stampin’ Up! Cookie Cutter Christmas set was stamped onto Whisper White card stock and punched using the coordinating Cookie Cutter Builder Punch.  Stampin’ Write Markers in Real Red, Basic Black, Smoky Slate, Daffodil Delight and Blushing Bride were used to color Santa.  It doesn’t show in the photograph, but the fur along Santa’s hat and suit were highlighted with clear Wink of Stella.  The tag was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink using the sentiment from Oh, What Fun stamp set.  Since I have a stockpile of retired 4″ x 6″ cellophane bags, I used them but the 3″ x 6″ Gusseted Cellophane Bags would work great.  I folded down approximately one inch of the bag and added a tag topper cut from the Be Merry Christmas Designer Series Paper.  A couple of staples along the bottom edge of the paper sealed both the cello bag and the topper.

If you’re looking for a quick and easy treat holder for table favors or stocking stuffers, these are perfect!

Silver & White = Elegant!

Hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving!  The countdown is on for Christmas so in this month’s card class, the focus was on Christmas cards.  One of the card designs was inspired by Linda Heller’s Stamping School. The whisper white cardstock with the silver accents creates an elegant look.  Combining texture embossing and heat embossing definitely creates a card with the “wow” factor.  So pull out your embossing tools and have fun creating!  And don’t forget the envelope…

Preparing for the Holidays!

Is it just me or are you also thinking that Christmas seems to arrive much sooner each year!?  With the holiday quickly approaching, it’s time to start making Christmas cards to send to family and friends.  One of my favorite holiday stamp sets from the 2017 Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog is Carols of Christmas.  It’s nice to have stamps with bold sentiments.  The design is CASED from Stampin’ Up! with a change of colors to red versus the black colors in their design.  To create snow on the branches of the trees, use the fine-tip glue pen to outline edges and sprinkle the glue while still wet with Dazzling Diamonds Stampin’ Glitter.  Don’t forget to jazz up your envelope…the stars stamp used is from the Star of Light stamp set.
